HKCEC restaurants support breast cancer awareness month for the eighth consecutive year with pink food items

(7 October 2022) For the eighth consecutive year, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Limited (“HML”) parades into pink October with a series of pink treats prepared by the Food and Beverage team to the Breast Cancer Awareness month. Available until 31 October 2022, eight food items are launched in support of a worthy cause and promoting educational outreach. All proceeds after deducting costs will be donated to the Hong Kong Cancer Fund’s Pink Revolution.

Four restaurants at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre are taking part in the Pink Revolution.  Headlining the Pink Ribbon campaign is Full Bloom (HK$320 for 1 pound), a delightful mousse cake layered with strawberry puree and cream, tops a delectable sakura and sake agar garnered with edible flowers; a mini version Cherry Blossom is also available at HK$52. Those with a sweet tooth will find the delicate Pink Choux (HK$50) an absolute delight, a raspberry choux au craquelin with pistachio whipping ganache dipped with gold flakes. All items are available at Harbour Road Café and Congress Plus (Cherry Blossom is also available at The Atrium Chinese Restaurant).

The Atrium Chinese Restaurant provides a uniquely pink-infused dining experience throughout October. Sip on the nourishing Beetroot Soup with Sea Conch (HK$128) which will not only invigorate your qi but also replenishes the blood, thanks to the vitamin-packed beetroot. An all-pink Pink Bao (Char Siu Bao) priced at HK$62, is also on the offer, and the blush pink Rose Tofu Pudding (HK$68) will surely steal everyone’s heart with its silky soft texture.

For those who look for local cha chaan tang eats, head on over to popular casual eatery Harbour Kitchen for its Thai Style Plum Soba Noodles Tossed with Vegetarian Abalone (HK$58). The unique ume flavour of the buckwheat soba paired with thinly-sliced vegetarian abalone, crab meat tossed in a sweet and sour chilli sauce makes it an ideal treat in the hot weather. One should not miss out the Chilled Plum Soba Noodles with Chicken and Vietnamese Dressing (HK$52) which is available at Harbour Road Café.

All food items are subject to 10% service charge (except at Harbour Kitchen and Harbour Road Café). Proceeds after deducting costs will be donated to the Hong Kong Cancer Fund in the name of the worthy cause.
