Finger on the Hi-tech Pulse
Technology moves fast and Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Limited ('HML') works hard to ensure that we maintains and update our facilities and inventory of equipment to meet the expectations of customers and visitors.
At HML, we understand that connectivity is vital in today’s world and provides Wi-Fi service for HKCEC’s users and visitors on a complimentary basis. HML has completed the HK$30 million project of upgrading the entire Wi-Fi system at the HKCEC, which enables HKCEC’s users and visitors to enjoy an unlimited, complimentary and high-speed, high-density Wi-Fi experience. Covering all exhibition halls and meeting rooms, front of house areas, foyers and concourses, organiser offices and ancillary rooms, as well as all HKCEC restaurants, the new Wi-Fi system is able to simultaneously support more than 20,000 mobile devices with scalability. The new HKCEC Premium Wi-Fi service is available and allows event organisers to provide event attendees at designated venues with an even faster browsing experience with a defined bandwidth. Event organisers also enjoy an option of a dedicated SSID and a customized login page which greatly help strengthen the event branding. Fixed broadband lines are available with charges for exhibitors.
A wide range of audio-visual equipment with on-site technical support is available to ensure the success of conferences, meetings and multimedia presentations. The built-in sound system has been calibrated with the room acoustic response to achieve good acoustic performance for conferences or speeches in the venues, and is also recommended for sound reinforcement for performance events. Event Managers and the professional technical team are happy to offer advice as per your requirements.
The HKCEC is also equipped with simultaneous interpretation systems for up to seven languages at a time and 7.1 Dolby digital surround-sound system.
Other technical requirements are also available inside exhibition halls, including subways for temporary cables, water supply, drainage and compressed air. An in-house building operation team stands by to provide technical advice and on-site support.
