HKCEC restaurants support breast cancer awareness month for the tenth consecutive year with pink food items
(23 October 2024) Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Limited (“HML”) embraces Breast Cancer Awareness initiative for the tenth consecutive year. Six pink-hued dishes are available from now until 31 October 2024 in our four restaurants at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in support of a meaningful cause and promoting educational outreach. All proceeds after deducting costs will be donated to the Hong Kong Cancer Fund to support their Pink Revolution campaign.
Headlining the initiative is the “pink-a-licious” Red Berry Ruby Crunch Cake (HK$50/piece), layered with raspberry puree, sponge cake as well as crunchy chocolate, tops a fascinating ruby chocolate glazing. For those who fancy quintessential French pastries should try the Strawberry Pink Madeleines (HK$50 for 2 pieces) a delicate shell-shaped cake with fresh strawberry marmalade filling and ruby chocolate icing. Another classic dessert is the Red Velvet Cheesecake (HK$50/piece), which is incredibly fluffy and moist, complemented by a healthy beetroot cream and garnished with edible rose petals. All items are available at Harbour Road Cafe and Congress Plus.
The Atrium Chinese Restaurant is also serving pink dim sum and dessert to commemorate the Pink Revolution campaign. Indulge in the blushing Beetroot Glutinous Rice with Minced Pork (HK$62/serve), which impresses foodie for a taste of crispy al dente, thanks to its mixture filling of hand-diced pork and fresh shrimp, wrapped in beetroot juice dyed glutinous rice. A sweet delight, Steamed Strawberry Rice Cake (HK$60/serve), offers chewy rice balls dipped in an enchanting pink colour strawberry cream, making it a perfect ending to your meal.
As the Pink Revolution campaign aims at raising breast cancer awareness amongst people from all walks of lives, casual eatery Harbour Kitchen also pitches in along its Local Beetroot and Vegetable Fried Rice (HK$74/ serve). Infusing local beetroot and vegetables into classic cha chaan teng style fried rice makes it not only delectable but also a meaningful and healthy treat during Pink October.
All food items are subject to 10% service charge (except at Harbour Kitchen and Harbour Road Café). Proceeds after deducting costs will be donated to the Hong Kong Cancer Fund in the name of the worthy cause.
