(23 November 2023) This holiday season, our international buffet restaurant Congress Plus invites families to celebrate the joyous spirit of Christmas at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Indulge in a delectable array of delicacies from around-the-world chilled seafood, succulent golden Christmas ham to artisanal Yule log cakes. Overlaid with a themed Candy Cane Festive Buffet, the buffet restaurant is transformed into candy land, decked up in classic red, white and gold, creating a festive ambiance for heart-warming reunions and merry gatherings.

The festive spirit will be in full swing from 15 December 2023 to 1 January 2024 with special highlights during Christmas days, New Year’s Eve and New Year Day. During the promotion period, the buffet comes with all-you-can-drink selected house wines, beer, orange juice and soft drinks with additional free-flowing sparkling wine on 23 - 25 and 31 December 2023 festive dinner buffet period. Children aged 6 or below are free of charge*.

On 24 and 25 December 2023, 10% early bird offer is available for festive lunch and dinner buffet for reservations made on or before 15 December 2023 and prepaid in full; on 31 December 2023 dinner buffet, 10% early bird offer is available when reservations are made on or before 23 December 2023 and prepaid in full. 15% off credit card offer will be given on selective days. In addition to these offers, Santa Claus’ visit, and face painting will also take place during the event.

Embark on a culinary journey with the chilled seafood selection like the freshly-shucked Oysters from France, while Chilled Canadian Boston Lobster, Snow Crab Legs, Poached New Zealand Mussels, Brown Crab and Poached Prawns will surely satisfy every seafood enthusiasts’ palate.

The chefs at Congress Plus offer a modern twist on classic flavours at “The Carvery” live stations. The traditional whole-roasted turkey is turned into a fusion of flavours – a Sous Vide Turkey Porchetta with Shiitake, Chinese Sausage (Lap Cheong) and Sticky Rice (available on 23 - 26 December 2023). The perfectly cooked Christmas Ham is glazed with maple-bourbon and layered with clove-studded thin pineapple slices. Other delectable options include Dry Aged Roasted Prime Rib and Black Garlic Rubbed Lamb Rack with Herb Crust, which are all served on a rotation basis.

Indulge in a collection of favourite winter dishes like the flavourful Braised Oxtail with Winter Root Vegetables, fragrant Garlic Butter Clams with White Wine Cream Sauce prepared skilfully at the live station. Succulent Lobster Tails are expertly grilled at the Teppanyaki station, the decadent Lobster Bisque with grilled lobster and a hint of cognac crème, and Duck Liver Mousse Terrine are available exclusively on 23 - 26, 31 December 2023 and 1 January 2024.

Other specialty dishes like a wholesome Double Boiled Sea Whelk and Abalone Soup with Cordyceps and Yunnan Ham will warm your soul. On 31 December 2023, you can also savour Pan Seared Foie Gras with Port Glaze.

A Christmas feast is never truly complete without a dazzling array of holiday desserts. Delight your taste buds with a decadent and rich Chocolate-Chestnut Mousse, Hazelnut and Log Cake. The quintessentially French Mont Blanc is transformed into a Christmas tree with a velvety red twist made of ruby chocolate, crunchy meringue and whipped cream.

You will also find “Santa’s Missing Hat”, Raspberry Pistachio Crunch Cake, sitting whimsically at the dessert counter.  For a warm and comforting dessert, savour each spoonful of Gingerbread Pudding with Dried Fruits that offers you a cosy and nostalgic experience. The Volcano Break Out features a delicious black forest filling, egg white konjac and raspberry cherry sauce. Lastly, the Gingerbread House gives a sweet finale to the Christmas feast.

On 31 December 2023, customers can extend their evening after the dinner buffet with free-flowing beverages and special desserts at HK$300 per person (HK$380 for non-dinner buffet guests), and hone in the new year while enjoying the colourful pyrotechnics and magnificent lighting at designated area at Golden Bauhinia Square.
