  • The inaugural International Property Management & Procurement Expo attracted more than 8,000 industry professionals to attend.

(26 November 2021) Hong Kong’s first property management service exhibition International Property Management & Procurement Expo (“PROPEX”) was hosted successfully at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (“HKCEC”) from 4 to 6 November, 2021 and attracted more than 8,000 industry professionals to source, trade and exchange insights with 216 exhibitor companies.

With over 350 exhibition stands, the PROPEX showcased a broad selection of property management products and services including refuse and waste recycling management, security control and surveillance systems, cleaning and pest control, car park management and access control systems and club house management. The three-day PROPEX was organised by COMASIA Limited (“COMASIA”), a Hong Kong-based international exhibition organiser.

Director of COMASIA, Mr CS Lee remarked, “The debut PROPEX was a great success, with official support from local influential industry and professional associations. The success and good attendance proved that the market has a keen demand for smart property management services and related supporting facilities and products. Hong Kong has a handsome property management industry with an estimated market size of HK$ 100 billion and a projected annual growth rate at around 10%. The PROPEX was launched at a good timing to serve the property management industry.”

A representative of 3M Hong Kong Limited, one of the exhibitors, commented, “The International Property Management and Procurement Expo is the first-ever local professional exhibition centering around property management. The PROPEX not only provided a timely platform for industry peers to explore and source the latest property management products, services and solutions under one roof, but also offered exhibitors huge opportunities to expand their market reach.”

Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Limited (“HML”) Managing Director Ms Monica Lee-Müller said, “Although international exhibitors and buyers are still not able to attend events in Hong Kong physically due to travel restrictions related to the pandemic, PROPEX’s success shows that local industries and professionals have a thriving demand for physical trade exhibitions. In fact, the second edition of PROPEX at the HKCEC has been planned for 30 August to 1 September 2022.”

“We are well-geared to host quality exhibitions for more local industries to facilitate the recovery of Hong Kong’s exhibition and convention industry. Once Hong Kong’s border with the Mainland reopens, these new trade exhibitions will also attract exhibitors and visitors from the Greater Bay Area, thus providing a strong impetus for Hong Kong’s economic development,” said Ms Lee-Müller.
