Exhibitions are instrumental in creating platforms for growth and recovery - exactly what is needed in today’s pandemic-hit world. The 6th Global Exhibitions Day (GED), which took place on 2 June, focused on this key aspect of trade exhibitions, and HML was happy to play its part joining in to share and spread the message.

Global Exhibitions Day is organised by UFI, the worldwide association of the exhibitions industry. This annual initiative recognises the important role that trade exhibitions play in driving economies both within the cities and regions in which they operate and on a global scale. The 2021 edition turned the spotlight on the economic opportunities they provide for revitalization and regrowth. It also placed emphasis on how exhibition organisers can instil confidence in the business community to participate in face-to-face trade events by prioritising safety.

As a key player in the global exhibition industry, HML stood strong with GED 2021. It wholeheartedly believes that exhibitions are able to bolster and boost economies, helping to rebuilding communities and enabling them to recover with confidence.

Activities at this year’s event included videos, webcasts, webinars, meetings with policy makers, hybrid events, and social media campaigns. For more details and how to get involved in the next edition in 2022, check out www.globalexhibitionsday.org.
