HML staff members have recently taken part in a couple of events with St James' Settlement (SJS) to bring joy to those in need.

HML co-organised a charity lunch with SJS on 3 November in which 20 pairs of elderly with siblings enjoyed a delicious Chinese lunch together with our HML's volunteers. The event celebrated Senior Citizens Day, the third Sunday of November, by acknowledging HML's heartfelt salute to the elderly for their dedication and care for each other.

HML supported another SJS annual signature fundraising event which we sponsored staff who participated in GOrun Together on 4 November 2018. A total of 26 HML staff and their children took part in the race from Pak Shek Kok Promenade to Tolo Harbour Garden. The funds raised by the runners support SJS’s People's Food Bank, which provides short-term emergency food support to people in need, helping to relieve hunger and to promote social cohesion.
