Ink Asia, the world’s first art fair dedicated to ink art, returns for its fifth edition this year. It has already developed into a unique international platform for modern and contemporary ink art. The works on display are influenced by traditional ink painting, but forge their own contemporary style and ideas.
The show is held concurrently with Fine Art Asia 2019 – a long-running event with a distinguished reputation – at HKCEC. Together these two events occupy 10,000 sqm of exhibition space at the centre, and they kick off Hong Kong’s vibrant peak art season.
Exhibitors at Ink Asia come from Hong Kong and overseas, and include a London gallery presenting a solo exhibition of the ink works of Paris-based Chinese artist Li Chevalier, known for her “Euro-Asian” style. For the first time this year, the photography section of Fine Art Asia will be part of Ink Asia, showcasing a selection of photographic artworks.
