Inspiration for a long, happy life
With 16% of its people were aged 65 or over, Hong Kong is one of many places facing the issue of an ageing population. The 50+ Expo, staged in early July, provided a platform for companies and organisations to connect directly with senior citizens. It covered a comprehensive range of products and services, including health-related products, every-day items, home-care services, leisure and fitness, further education, retirement planning and funeral services.
As well as targeting individuals in the 50-plus age group, the fair also reached out to institutions such as elderly homes, day-care centres, medical and rehabilitation centres, NGOs and social welfare organisations, as well as retailers. The 2018 edition, which attracted over 53,000 visitors received favourable feedback from 90% of attendees, and reaction to this year’s expo appeared to be equally well appreciated.
