Senior Manager - Facilities Planning & Operations

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the overall technical and administrative engineering functions relating to the Centre's building maintenance, plants, equipment, installations, technical set up 
  • Manages and optimises the activities of operating employees, delivers supporting services for scheduled functions, assists the management to maintain and operate the building in a safe and comfortable environment
  • Directs the planning, development, the safe and optimum implementation and control of necessary policies and procedures within the department to provide safe and optimum operation of the maintenance, event operations, mechanical, electrical, telecommunication and theatrical systems, general estate management functions of the Centre
  • Provides management with special reporting and analysis on a departmental basis in a timely and accurate manner
  • Develops and prepares the departmental budget and exercises expenditure control
  • Plans and reviews regular inspection programmes and oversees their implementation to the pre-set standards
  • Reviews and recommends the modification to the Centre's existing plants for achieving greater cost-effectiveness, recommends acquisitions of operating equipment, supplies and materials for the Centre to meet the international standard
  • Develops and maintains complete records of drawings, specifications, manuals, etc. for the Centre's plants, facilities and equipment
  • Plans and motivates effectively the human resources of the department for achieving the departmental objectives

Requirements:

  • Degree holder or above in building services, mechanical engineering, civil engineering or electrical engineering or other related fields
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in building services, mechanical engineering, civil engineering or electrical engineering, with minimum 4 years’ experience in managerial position
  • Solid experience in construction project handling large property operations and different kinds of engineering
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Strong managerial & supervisory ability in large organisation and different trade of contractors or labour
  • Organised, presentable and multi-tasking
