HKTDC Hong Kong International Medical Devices and Supplies Fair
(4-6 November 2009)
Just What the Doctor Ordered
The inaugural HKTDC Hong Kong International Medical Devices and Supplies Fair takes place at HKCEC from 4-6 November. It offers manufacturers a chance to link up with buyers from around the world, and will help buyers identify distributors to help them tap the lucrative Chinese mainland market and the Asian region in general. The mainland is not the only growing consumer of healthcare products and services. The World Health Organisation estimates that global spending on health has exceeded US$4.1 trillion a year.
More than 130 exhibitors from around the world are expected to attend show. Among the highlights is the Tech Exchange, a platform for getting technology to the marketplace; exhibitors include major tertiary institutions known for the quality of their research.
The fair will also host the 14th meeting of the Asian Harmonization Working Party (AHWP), the first time the AHWP has met in Hong Kong. The AHWP is working to unify the region’s regulations regarding medical devices, and hundreds of government officials and representatives of regulatory authorities from the AHWP’s member economies are taking part in the meeting. In addition, the show will stage a one-day conference, entitled "Hong Kong – A Medical and Health Device Industries Development Hub”.

The operator focus and "invitation only" policy of Mobile Asia Congress ensures the audience in this area will be at a level of seniority unlike that of any other mobile event in the world. The layout will create a more intimate platform for detailed business discussions with these leaders.
The GSMA Mobile Asia Congress will focus on addressing operator issues and advancing operator projects through a combination of regionally-specific keynotes, working sessions and extended networking opportunities.

(8-10 December 2009)
Action!
It's premiere time at HKCEC, as CineAsia 2009 is staged at the Centre again. This is the only pan-Asia convention dedicated to the cinema equipment and distribution markets, and promises to be a blockbuster, given that this is the world's fastest growing region for the entertainment industry.

Among those exhibiting will be companies involved in 3-D, booth/projection equipment, digital/cinema equipment, lighting, lobby displays, seating, signs, sound/speakers/amplifiers, ticketing.point of sale, walls/panels/screens, candy/concessions, draperies, security and kiosks.
