Retail Asia Expo &
Congress 2009 (24-26 June 2009)
Asia's
Top Shoppers
HKCEC plays host to more than 10,000 of the most powerful
and influential retailers, brand directors, advertising agencies,
architects and designers from Asia Pacific in June. Retail
Asia Expo & Congress is being staged for the first time
ever; Hong Kong was chosen as it justly claims to be the shopping
capital of the region, with a presence of all major international
brands, plus it is on the doorstep of the Chinese mainland
- the world's most exciting retail market.
The consensus is that retail design and technology are even
more important in difficult times in view of the increased
need to attract customers, boost productivity, enhance customer
service and reduce costs - thus this event has a very important
role to play. As well as a high-level conference, it is made
up of two exhibitions - the Retail Design & InStore Marketing
Expo and the Retail Technology Expo.
HKTDC Hong Kong International Tea Fair
(13-15 August 2009)
International Tea Party
Hong Kong has long played an important role in the tea industry
- it has a history as a 'tea port', and it has an established
tea-drinking culture that embraces both Chinese tea and Ceylon
tea. This is the first-ever staging of a tea fair in Hong
Kong, and takes place alongside the HKTDC Hong Kong Food Expo,
also being held at HKCEC.
As well sourcing opportunities for tea and tea accoutrements,
the fair will include programmes aimed at infusing a tea lifestyle,
such as a tea competition, tea gallery and tea ceremony demonstration,
generating visitor and media interest.
