One of the most durable acts in the musical world thrilled
the audience at the Centre with a fabulous concert just
before Christmas. The Brothers Four were formed in the
US more than 40 years ago, and over that time have built
up a strong repertoire of folk songs from America, Ireland,
Scotland, Japan and China, and have sold millions of
albums.
They've been instrumental in pioneering the "folk
revival" sound with their all-acoustic presentation
of guitars, banjo, mandolin, upright bass, and of course
the trademark rich blend of their four voices. The Hong
Kong audience sang along, clapped their hands and stamped
their feet, as The Brothers Four sang old favourites
including This Land is My Land and Greenfields
as well as newer numbers.
