HKCEC October Exhibitions and Temporary Traffic Arrangements
As of today (16 October), all exhibitions at the HKCEC in October 2014 will proceed as scheduled.
Due to the large scale of these exhibitions, including move-in and move-out periods, the venue is temporarily closed to public, except for event attendees, exhibitors, visitors and authorised contractors with valid credentials, as well as visitors to offices, restaurants and facilities inside the HKCEC.
Participants can come to the HKCEC via Mass Transit Railway (MTR), public ferries to Wanchai, taxis as well as private vehicles. Loading bays are accessible for authorized vehicles.
The car park of Expo Drive Central is completely closed from 7 October to 18 October and 21 October to 1 Nov 2014 for mega trade fair. Drivers are advised to use other parking facilities in vicinity. Please refer to the map here for locations and telephone numbers to check availability and operating hours.

Green Creative Design Competition 2014
The Green Creative Design Competition 2014 organised by Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Ltd ("HML") was held in April 2014. The objective of the competition is to recognize students' creativity and to promote green awareness among younger students. Participating students were required to create their own designs within two hours using the recycled materials and art tools provided, with the theme "A Green HKCEC".
A total of 150 students from 17 primary and secondary schools in Wan Chai have participated in the competition. The Award Presentation Ceremony was held on 24 June 2014 to recognise the achievement of the winning students.

Central - Wan Chai Bypass and Island Eastern Corridor Link
The new Central-Wanchai Bypass & Island East Corridor Link construction by HKSAR Government is currently underway along the north shoreline of Hong Kong Island. Preliminary work has begun in mid 2010 and the project is targeted to complete by 2017. For details, please click here.
In this regard, a series of construction works have been scheduled to occur around HKCEC, including the relocation of chiller pump system piping, and ultimately bridge relocation and reclamation of the water channel between Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the HKCEC for road and MTR tunnelling.
As the various stages of work is continuously subject to change, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Ltd. (HML) is working very closely with the HKSARG appointed project teams to minimise inconvenience to users and visitors of HKCEC.
