Result announcement of Recycle Bag Drawing Competition 2015

"Paint a Green HKCEC" Recycle Bag Drawing Competition 2015, organised by Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Limited (“HML”), was completed successfully in March 2015. The event aims to foster green awareness among young generations by promoting the use of recycle bags, in response to the extension of environmental levy scheme on plastic shopping bags launched by the HKSAR Government. Participating students were required to create a design for the HKCEC recycle bag with a theme of “Green HKCEC”.

Over 180 entries from 24 primary and secondary schools in Wan Chai were collected. After careful considerations from the panel judges, 28 entries were selected. Please click here for the results.

Awarded entries have been uploaded onto the HKCEC’s Facebook official fan page. Like us now on and become our ‘fan’ to get know more about the HKCEC. In addition, more photos and awarded entries can be viewed in the Photo Gallery of the competition website

Central - Wan Chai Bypass and Island Eastern Corridor Link

The new Central-Wanchai Bypass & Island East Corridor Link construction by HKSAR Government is currently underway along the north shoreline of Hong Kong Island.  Preliminary work has begun in mid 2010 and the project is targeted to complete by 2017.  For details, please click here.

In this regard, a series of construction works have been scheduled to occur around HKCEC, including the relocation of chiller pump system piping, and ultimately bridge relocation and reclamation of the water channel between Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the HKCEC for road and MTR tunnelling.

As the various stages of work is continuously subject to change, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Ltd. (HML) is working very closely with the HKSARG appointed project teams to minimise inconvenience to users and visitors of HKCEC.
