Refurbishment Work of the Roof at the HKCEC phase 2
The sculptured roof of the HKCEC Phase 2, designed to resemble a bird soaring into flight, has been the landmark of Hong Kong. As part of the management company’s commitment to upkeep the HKCEC as a world class exhibition and convention centre, a refurbishment project is taking place and will complete by the end of April 2014.
During the project period, scaffolding will be constructed outside the HKCEC, in front of the glass façade of the Grand Foyer, the balconies of Meeting Rooms N104-N110 and N204-N210, the Bauhinia Room and the Golden Bauhinia Cantonese Restaurant. The harbor view from these venues will be affected. All scaffolding will be on the exterior of the building. There is no impact on the interior area of these venues or any other spaces in the HKCEC.
