12 August 2010 - 14 August 2010 Located at the focal point of the most prolific tea-producing regions, Hong Kong is ideally situated as a tea-trading hub. It serves the markets of the world and is especially well-placed to serve the vast Chinese mainland market.Buyers visiting the 2010 edition will be able to see a very wide variety of tea in different forms and from many corners of the world. In addition, buyers will be able to source for their packaging, processing and testing requirements, as well as tea ware. Other sectors of the fair cover tea technology and tea organisations as well as services and publications. The Hong Kong International Tea Fair is crowded with interesting and informative activities. This year, the Association of Coffee & Tea of Hong Kong and HKTDC will jointly organise the “International KamCha Competition 2010”. It will be on a grander scale with international teamsters joining in and competition rounds being held in Australia (Sydney), Canada (Toronto), Chinese mainland (Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen) and Macau, the final on the last day of the Hong Kong International Tea Fair. As well as the Hong Kong International Tea Fair, buyers can also take in the HKTDC Food Expo, with exhibits with complement tea and which could well provide additional sourcing opportunities. The International Conference & Exhibition of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine & Health Products is also on at the same time.
