Natural health products, including natural, functional and
organic foods, raw ingredients and supply, herbal and Chinese
medicine remedies, vitamins and supplements, and natural personal
care products, are fast moving into the medical mainstream
and in the process generating increasing revenues. Proof of
this was seen at last year's hugely successful Natural
Products Expo Asia, an inaugural fair that exceeded all
expectations. This year, Natural Products Expo Asia is returning
to the HKCEC from 3-5 December 2003. The organiser Penton
Media is promising more exhibitors, more buyers, and an even
richer range of products and activities for participants to
enjoy. Though the trend towards healthier lifestyles and natural
products is growing throughout Asia, Hong Kong presented itself
as the logical destination for this event. As Scott Griggs,
Managing Director of Penton Media Asia explains, it's a matter
of location and infrastructure. "Retailers from around the
world attend our event to learn about, or discover, new 'natural'
products, which incidentally make up the fastest-growing sector
of both traditional supermarket and specialty retail sales."
And why Hong Kong? "Not only does Hong Kong continue to serve
as regional base for many multinational companies' buying
agents," he explains, "but the facilities on offer at the
HKCEC are truly world class and very hard to beat."
Natural
Products Expo Asia is a geographical extension of the world's
largest natural products event, Natural Products Expo West,
held annually in Anaheim, California. The Asian version is
supported by a range of national and international organisations
promoting natural foods and medicines, and features both raw
materials and finished products. Whether food, food supplements,
medicine or personal care items, everything on display is
the result of the vision that informs the Expo: of a move
back to a simpler and more natural relationship with the world
around us.

Gone are
the days when dining was dependent on limited local fare and
one or two cooking styles. Food is now a truly global industry,
an internationalism that will be on display from 15-18 July
2003 at the HKCEC with the arrival of HOFEX 2003 - The
10th Asian International Exhibition of Hospitality Equipment,
Supplies and Technology, Food and Drink. Bringing together
all the sectors involved in creating the perfect hospitality
and dining experience, the exhibition will showcase the phenomenal
range of quality foodstuffs, equipment and service solutions
now available across the industry. With 40 plus major Group
Pavilions, along with some 1,800 participating companies from
58 countries and regions, HOFEX 2003 looks set to provide
a feast of ideas and opportunities to everyone involved in
any sector of this industry. The organiser Hong Kong Exhibition
Services Ltd is expecting over 28,000 visitors to attend and
take advantage of this unique occasion. The biennial event,
HOFEX is now a HKCEC regular and has established itself firmly
as a must go event for industry professionals within the hospitality
trade.

Almost
anyone doing business finds themselves needing to travel at
some point or other, and many top business people are constantly
on the move in today's globalised economy. The upcoming Business
Travel Expo (25-26 March 2003), now in its second year,
is designed to bring together some of the world's leading
travel suppliers and help visitors discover the full range
of options for the business travellers. The Expo will not
only be a real opportunity for businesses to implement consistent,
easy-to-use travel policies, but also to reduce their travel
costs and go further on increasingly limited travel budgets.
Organised
by Europe's largest dedicated business travel event promoter,
Centaur Exhibitions, the Expo will cover everything from credit
cards to chauffeurs, from car rental to air charter. And a
dynamic Conference Programme will bring together key industry
experts to advise participants on the latest issues and opportunities
in the business travel world.
