Full to overflowing
Mega Show Part 1 combines the 16th Hong
Kong International Toys & Gifts Show and the
15th Asian Gifts Premium & Household Products
Show into a single event that is indeed "mega"
in scope, taking up the entire capacity of the HKCEC
including its new Expo Drive Hall. Last year, for comparison,
the same event featured around 5,300 exhibition stands
and attracted massive crowds of over 61,000 buyers.
This year's version, to be held from 21 to 24 October,
is already sold out, with 3,500 exhibitors snapping
up the valuable places for this, one of the world's
greatest venues for toys, gifts, premium and houseware.
Organised by Kenfair International Holdings Ltd, Mega
Show Part 1 is known as Asia's biggest fair of its
kind, and attracts huge numbers of visitors from all
around the world. For 2007, its record-breaking status
is expected to continue, as buyers and sellers alike
line up to participate. Offering an amazing range of
toys (wind-up, blow-up, radio-controlled, battery-operated,
die-cast, electronic to name only a few) and gifts (stationery,
silverware, Christmas decorations, keychains, photo
frames, hats, and so much more), Mega Show Part 1
is a true extravaganza of a fair!

Hospitality Design Asia Exhibition
& Conference 2007 (8-9 October 2007)
A High Profile for the Hospitality
Industry
|
The hospitality industry is nothing if not dynamic
and constantly evolving, so it benefits even more than
most from regular exhibitions and conferences to keep
its members abreast of new directions and trends. Hence
the attraction of Hospitality Design Asia Exhibition
& Conference 2007 (HD Asia), a combined exhibition
and conference that this year will run at the HKCEC
on 8 and 9 October. The event will bring together the
whole gamut of designers, architects, hoteliers and
restaurateurs together with suppliers, manufacturers
and purchasers in an environment focused solely
on promoting the value of superior design within the
hospitality industry. It is expected to attract over
3,000 hospitality professionals from across the Asia
Pacific region and from the US.
This is the third year HD Asia has been hosted
at the Centre, and as usual the organiser Nielsen Business
Media's Hospitality Design Group is making the most
of the superb location and promises to have a bigger
and better event. Combining a vibrant exhibition with
a two-day conference programme led by many internationally
renowned guest speakers and covering a surprising range
of topics, HD Asia 2007 is lining up to be another
cutting-edge event for the industry that looks certain
to identify and shape industry trends for the year to
come.

Hong Kong International Lighting Fair
(28-31 October 2007)
An Industry with a Real Shine
Electricity consumption may rise at the HKCEC from
28 to 31 October when it hosts the Hong Kong International
Lighting Fair 2007. We're expecting another glittering
occasion, as designers and manufacturers of light fittings
and accessories set up their products in a blaze of
glory! Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development
Council, this annual fair last year attracted around
1,300 exhibitors and over 25,000 buyers, making it one
of the largest of its kind in Asia. The organiser expects
further growth this year, as more emphasis is placed
in the region on the importance of quality lighting
in home, office and civic environments.
As usual, the fair will include special sections devoted
to niche areas of the industry, such as the spectacular
'Crystal Indulgence Zone' which explores the luxury
end of the lighting market; the "Green Lighting
Zone', a popular section devoted to ways of achieving
environmentally-friendly and energy-saving lighting
solutions; and the Outdoor Lighting Section, containing
everything from street lamps to garden lights.

Game Time International (GTI) Asia Hong Kong
Expo 2007 (7-9 November 2007)
Playing the game internationally
|
 |
The Taiwan Game Time International (GTI) Expo has
traditionally been an important event for anyone involved
in the amusement and gaming machine industry. Now, in
a move designed to gain even wider international exposure,
an Asian version of the Expo is being held in Hong Kong.
GTI Asia Hong Kong Expo 2007 will run from 7
to 9 November at the HKCEC, where it will showcase the
latest in game machines, game boards and game components
to a wide buyer base. According to Angie Huang, General
Manager of organiser GTI Magazine, the new Hong Kong
show reflects the fact that Hong Kong remains the hub
of the export trade in Asia, and is particularly effective
at attracting Mainland Chinese and overseas buyers.
"We believe the new Hong Kong version is an ideal
way of tapping into the Mainland China and Asia Pacific
markets," she said, "and of showcasing the
vibrant Taiwan amusement and gaming machine industry
to a much wider buyer base."
