Cosmoprof Asia (15-17 November 2006)

Beauty Parade

Cosmoprof Asia has been powering along for over a decade now, establishing itself as the largest and most prestigious beauty event in the Asia Pacific. Its proven formula for success has involved bringing together a huge range of exhibitors across many different sectors, and offering added-value events such as shows, national pavilions, and exciting competitions. Besides its incredible range of international beauty products, the show is renowned for its superb hair show, its high quality business seminars, and its special focus on the natural health sector.

Staged at the HKCEC between 15 and 17 November, this year's Cosmoprof Asia will occupy around 45,000 square metres and host over 1,000 exhibitors, and around 40,000 buyers and visitors are expected. The show is so large and well-supported because it addresses the needs of the entire beauty industry, including areas such as perfumery and cosmetics, wellness and spa products, professional hair and nail products, packaging, and contract manufacturing. This year once again Cosmoprof Asia will run alongside ever-popular show The Natural Health Fair.

Joint organisers CMP Asia and BolognaFiere are expecting an enthusiastic turnout for the 2006 show. "For serious players in the beauty industry," says a representative, "Cosmoprof Asia is now an essential yearly date."

3G World Congress and Mobility Marketplace 2006
(4-7 December 2006)

A Mobile World

Vast opportunities currently exist for telecom companies when it comes to new mobile technology. That's the rationale behind the 3G World Congress and Mobility Marketplace being held at the HKCEC from 4 to 7 December, an event that will explore the latest business, technology and service opportunities for improving revenues from the wireless broadband sector.

Organiser Beacon Events Ltd says the event will be the largest mobility focused telecoms industry gathering in Asia, with around 1,500 delegates. More than 130 specialist speakers, including CEOs and company presidents from all around the world, will share insights into the future of mobile communications. Despite the bewildering array of current technology connected with wireless communications, the Congress is independent of specific technology and covers all the major initiatives. This year the Congress is also hosting the Mobility Marketplace, a space providing facilities for meetings, press conferences and private events.

Says a spokesman, "3G wireless broadband is set to revolutionise the way we communicate and access information. The 3G World Congress and Mobility Marketplace provides the ideal forum for anyone involved in this industry to see how they can play a full part in its rapid development."

TOC2007 Asia (13-15 March 2007)

Shaping the Future of Shipping

TOC2007 Asia (Terminal Operations Conference and Exhibition) is a trade show specifically tailored for shipping, ports and terminals in Asia. Given that Hong Kong is the world's second-busiest container port, it made sense for organiser Informa Maritime and Transport to stage the show in the city for the third time, after editions in 2003 and 2005. The organiser expects attendance to surpass TOC2006 in South Korea, which attracted over 60 international exhibitors, 350 senior level industry delegates, and more than 800 visitors. Attendance will be made up of suppliers of terminal services, handling equipment, systems and software, who will gather at the HKCEC to review the latest technology and reassess their procurement strategies in the light of new products.

TOC2007 Asia combines a Conference at which trends and developments in the world of shipping are analysed in detail, and an exhibition where comprehensive products and services related to maritime transport are on display. In today's global economy, the role of the shipping industry is more important than ever, and TOC Asia is catering to one of the biggest growth markets in the world of shipping: the vibrant Asia Pacific region.
