The latest addition to the HKCEC's superb range of restaurants and wide variety of cuisines, Harbour Kitchen opened on 29 September 2003 at the Centre's Harbour Road Entrance. Harbour Kitchen specialises in authentic local food and drink, recreating the spirit of traditional Hong Kong eateries and serving up some of our city's favourite dishes. Some of the Hong Kong delicacies on offer include Tea with Milk, Stir Fried Instant Noodles, Hawker Food, and Congee. Experience the genuine flavours of streetside Hong Kong, or choose more sophisticated fare such as Chili Salmon Head in a Clay Pot or Roast Baby Chicken in Five Spices. Chef Kenny Tsang comes with over twenty years' experience in catering, and wants the new restaurant to offer something for visitors and locals alike. "We are presenting authentic tastes and memories of Hong Kong," he said. "Our dishes will take many locals back to experiences of their childhood and youth. And for tourists, these are unique tastes that we hope will give them a real new insight into Hong Kong's style and character." The restaurant is casual in style and able to produce food fast for those on the run, but its retro ambience can also be a place to linger and enjoy the moment, in surroundings reminiscent of an older Hong Kong. Harbour Kitchen is open from 8am to 9pm every day, and a takeaway service is also available. There is no service charge in this cash-only restaurant. More information is available at 2582 7241.
