We've always
known that our Congress Restaurant was a leader in the Hong
Kong culinary world, and just recently we've had more outside evidence
to support it. The Congress scooped both the 'Best Restaurant'
and 'Best Buffet' awards in a special competition jointly
organised by the Bank of East Asia Towngas Credit Card and Weekend
Weekly Magazine. The awards were determined by a ballot arranged
by Weekend Weekly Magazine in August 2003, in which foodlovers were
invited to vote for their favourite eating places. More than 1,500
readers responded, and around a third placed the Congress Restaurant
on their list. Food Critic William Mark, during the awards presentation
ceremony, declared "I was especially impressed by the innovative
buffet items offered by the Congress Restaurant. The standard is
exceptionally high." Those high standards are on full visual
display, as our chefs cook in open kitchens right in view of customers.
