The HKCEC was
designed for grand occasions, and in the political sphere they don't
come much grander than this. Attending a breakfast reception in
the Grand Hall on 1 July was Premier Wen of the PRC, along with
HKSAR Chief Tung Chee-hwa and a host of other dignitaries. The Premier's
visit to the HKSAR marked the sixth anniversary of the handover,
and it was therefore appropriate that his schedule should bring
him to the HKCEC where the 1997 handover took place. His breakfast
engagement at the Centre was a proud moment for us, and the magnificent
setting of the Grand Hall filled with the top political figures
of Hong Kong and the PRC was a reminder that few venues can match
the world-class atmosphere and sheer quality of the HKCEC.
