Broadband lines installed
Q1. The exhibition organiser suggested that the HKCEC Organisers' Offices should have broadband lines installed as a standard service for international events. (Fashion Yarn Exhibitions G.E.I.E.)
A. In fact, almost all the Organisers' Offices in the Centre already have broadband services available. The service can be activated simply by plugging in a connecting wire at the telecom closet in the office. Whenever an exhibition organiser requests a broadband service in the Exhibition Event Order, we will ensure the connection is set up ready for the beginning of the event. This free service covers the use of one broadband line for exhibition organisers. Additional lines are also available as required, but they will incur extra charges.

Air-conditioning switched on one hour before

Q2. A corporate event organiser asked the HKCEC to ensure that the air-conditioning was switched on well before the beginning of their event. (Hong Kong Society of Accountants)
A. The Centre's standard policy is to switch on air-conditioning one hour before the scheduled start of an event. Our experience shows that an hour is about the best time to cool rooms and halls to their optimum temperatures.
