We find
that our exhibitors come back to the HKCEC time and again
because they have confidence in the quality and professionalism
of the services we can provide for them. First-time users,
however, who have yet to experience the Centre's international
expertise, may perhaps wonder at the outset whether they have
made the right choice of venue. Two shows setting up at the
HKCEC for the first time ever in May 2002 had no reason to
regret their choice, and showed why the Centre draws exhibitors
back year after year.
The Texcare
Asia 2002 exhibition, which ran from 9 to 11 May, showcased
the huge array of textile care services and equipment available
for diverse trade sectors including hotels, hospitals and
airlines. Many exhibitors at this major show, which occupied
over 3,000 square metres of exhibition space and featured
84 exhibitors from over 18 different countries and regions,
invested considerable time and money in their presence at
the HKCEC. And, as one exhibitor remarked, "it certainly
paid off", with more than 2,500 visitors from 41 countries
passing through Texcare Asia over its three days, ensuring
a busy international atmosphere on the exhibition floor.
A very
different but equally fast-growing industry was represented
by Natural Products Expo Asia 2002, a first-time exhibition
held from 16 to 18 May. Consumers around the world are increasingly
searching out and exploring the fascinating dietary and medicinal
potential of products developed directly from nature. The
recent massive growth of the industry was evident from the
sheer scale of this Expo, with over 200 companies from Asia
and beyond exhibiting organic foods, herbal medicines, dietary
supplements, and much more. Industry scouts from over 60 countries
passed through, taking visitor numbers above the 4,000 mark:
levels that have convinced the Expo organisers to bring the
exhibition back to the HKCEC in 2003.
