Hong Kong and the
HKCEC have come out firmly on top of the CEI Asia Pacific,
the region's leading conference, exhibition and incentive magazine,
"Exhibition Survey" in 2002, just as they did last
year. The survey asked leading exhibition organisers in the Asia Pacific
region to list their three favourite exhibition cities and venues.
Hong Kong was listed as a favourite by 93% of respondents as a preferred
exhibition destination. When it comes to favoured exhibition venues,
the HKCEC improved on last year's impressive top spot in the CEI
Asia Pacific poll: in 2002, some 85.7% of respondents named us
as one of the three best exhibition centres, up from 82% in 2001.
Price and access to markets were an important consideration for many
in deciding on their preferred venue.
Good compliments
are bolstered by another recent "International Meeting Survey"
from the International Congress & Convention Association (ICCA),
which ranks Hong Kong (494 out of 2,118 corporate meeting planners)
first of 56 countries as the preferred international meeting destination
of corporate meeting planners in 2001/2002.
The HKCEC's
continued strong showing reflects not only Hong Kong's continued
popularity as a conference and exhibition destination, but the advanced,
international levels of service that the Centre consistently provides.
