HML deputy managing director appointed Ocean Park board member
(Hong Kong, 24 December 2010) Ms Monica Lee-Müller, Deputy Managing Director of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Ltd (HML) has been appointed as a Member of the Board of the Ocean Park Corporation (OPC) for a period of two years from 1 January, 2011 to 31 December 2012 by the Hong Kong Special Administration Government. HML is the private and professional management and operating company for the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
Accepting the appointment, Ms Lee-Müller says, “The Ocean Park is an icon of Hong Kong and represents an important element in visitors and Hong Kong residents' collective memories. I am honoured to have this opportunity to contribute to the Ocean Park’s long term development. With my experience in the MICE industry, I certainly hope that I can help promote this unique theme park to friends and visitors from around the world. I am a nature lover and would take a particular interest in the educational program of the Ocean Park. I look forward to working with Dr Allan Zeman, fellow board members and his team.”
Ms Lee-Müller is a proven veteran in the hospitality industry for over 26 years. She joined HML in 1994. An active facilitator within the MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention & Exhibition) industry, Ms Lee-Müller is a member of the Board of Directors of UFI – The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, an Executive Committee member of the Hong Kong Exhibition & Convention Industry Association (HKECIA), and a member of the Advisory Board of the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
