Further exhibition growth at HKCEC following expansion

(Hong Kong, 14 July 2009) The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) welcomes the Hong Kong debut of the 2009 GSMA Mobile Asia Congress and CineAsia 2009 in November and December respectively.

The 6th Annual Mobile Asia Congress will be held on 18-19 November 2009 to attract some 1,000 senior mobile industry executives from across Asia and the world. On 8-10 December 2009, the CineAsia 2009 will follow by bringing together cinema owners, suppliers, film buyers and distributors.

"We are pleased to add these two new shows to an already impressive roster of events at the HKCEC and following our latest expansion. With nearly 20,000 more sqm of exhibition space and enhanced facilities and services, we are enabling different industries to stage bigger and better events," remarks Cliff Wallace, Managing Director of the HKCEC.

"Mobile Asia Congress will be instrumental in shaping the mobile future by bringing together the leadership of Asian mobile operators and key players in the broader mobile ecosystem to share their strategies and visions for the industry. And HKCEC, located in the heart of Hong Kong and Asia, is the venue of choice for us," said Michael O'Hara, Chief Marketing Officer of the GSMA. The GSMA, which represents the interests of the worldwide mobile industry, produces the Mobile Asia Congress event.

In addition to a product showcase featuring key mobile technologies and solutions, the Mobile Asia Congress will afford attendees important networking and business development opportunities.

At the CineAsia 2009, a lineup of upcoming major Asian and Hollywood films screenings, sponsored events, and informative seminars will be featured on top of the trade show.
