HKCEC Appoints New Head of Human Resources and Administration

(Hong Kong, 6 October 2008) Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Ltd (HML) has appointed Mr Terry Kwan as Director of Human Resources and Administration from October 2008.

Mr Kwan will oversee human resources, training and administration in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) and develop necessary policies and procedures to maintain a dynamic and cohesive workforce. He is also a member of HML's Executive Leadership Committee.

"Terry, in the new division head position, will give greater importance to HKCEC's strategic human resources management while the Centre is stepping into a new phase following our expansion," said Mr Cliff Wallace, Managing Director.

"Terry has more than 17 years of human resources experience in the hospitality industry. His array of experience will strengthen our talent management and development of the HKCEC," he adds.

Prior to joining the HKCEC, Mr Kwan held several senior positions with the Shangri-La Group including Director of Corporate Human Resources - Projects in the Corporate Office of Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, Hong Kong.
